My Favorites

My favorite book I have ever read was The Hunger Games. I really enjoyed this book because it was full of action and it made you feel for the characters. My favorite movie was The Hunger Games because it was based off my favorite book and the actors fit their characters very well. My favorite song is Party Rock Anthem. It is my favorite because the song is upbeat and is very thrilling to listen to.

Years On the Computer

It was Friday night and Darrel had no plans for the whole weekend. He decided he would spend yet another weekend home bound and on the computer. His parents wanted Darrel to get a life so they downloaded this program to encourage him to stay off of it. While Darrel was in the middle of a raid on one of his online multiplayer games, a pop-up came on the screen and told him to get off. He rejected it hastily because he was at a very important part of his attack. Minutes passed by and he was about to kill the boss dragon when another pop-up popped up. This time it asked hi to log off because he had been logged on for a year. He actually hadn't but the program was supposed to humiliate him for being on his computer so much. He clicked "yes" and went to talk to his parents. They created a time table for him to play on the computer, but when his limit was reached he had to get off. This helped Darrel improve on his grades and become a hard-working student.

Pepper the Kitty Cat

In a small secluded town right next to the Ozark Mountains was a cat that had received some terrible news. Unlike the neighboring cat that lived next door, Pepper couldn't have babies. Their local veterinarian diagnosed her with a condition that prevents her to have kittens. The cat that lived next door kept pestering Pepper because all she did was have babies. After a lot of thinking Pepper decided to go to the extreme to have some babies. A forest surrounds the small town and had plenty of raccoons in it. She was going to steal a baby raccoon because their fur color was very similar to hers. Late one night, right after Pepper's owner had fallen asleep she snuck out of the house. That night she was going to make a baby raccoon one of her own. She had put on a little cat mask that her owner had bought for her on Halloween. She went out into the forest and snatched a little baby. The parents of the raccoon had traced the scent of Pepper. This was really hard for them because the smell of Pepper made them sneeze. They finally found her and confronted her about the baby. She confessed, but the raccoon parents felt her pain and decided to give her a break. They decided to become friends and they took a photo to confirm this. Pepper and the raccoons usually visit each other on the weekends.

Mrs. Waters's Worst Nightmare

One summer on a farm somewhere in Texas was a horse that wasn't taken care of properly. This horse was named Salty. He has had that name since birth because right before he was born his mom gobbled down a ton of salt cubes. This seemed iconic enough for this situation so he felt like his name had meaning. The owner of the Salty was Ol' Man Jenkins. Jenkins was a mean, old cowboy that uses no electricity. Jenkins had progressively gotten busier each day. A drought was on his hands and he had to take care of his cattle. Which meant he had less and less time to take care of Salty. Over time Salty had developed ticks and fleas all over his body. Jenkins kept forgetting to apply his medicine from the veterinarian to him. Salty's situation finally got bad enough where Salty had to attempt desperate measures for pleasure. All Salty did, day and night was rub his butt against the fence post. One day Jenkins noticed that he didn't have the time to take care of Salty. So he thought it was best to let him go. He sold him to the Waters because they were interested in a horse for their daughter. The Waters took great care of Salty for a long time. It had seemed that his life kept extending due to the various foods he kept eating. The older Mr. Waters got he spent more time with the horses. Mrs. Waters finally noticed it was going on and got really jealous. For the rest of each of their lives the competed for attention from Mr. Waters. Salty usually one because of his famous technique of rubbing his butt on the fence.

On the Banks With the Waters

It was a breezy summer day in the good ol' plains of Texas. The sun was up, clouds spotted the sky, and all around you could see mother nature in action. Little Sally wanted to go fishing with her uncle at the family pond. She wondered around the family estate trying to look for him. After minutes of searching she found him in the dense, luscious thicket. Sally noticed how he was dressed and assumed he was already going fishing. She called out his name and told him wait up. He slowed his pace as she ran to catch up. As they were walking to the pond they chatted about various topics. They finally made it to the pond and sat beside it. As Sally's uncle cast the reel, Sally questioned his technique. He told her that this was the technique that all the professionals use. Little Sally felt smart at first trying to correct her uncle, but ended up being wrong. This made her realize to think and consider she is wrong before she ever tries to make a correction.
